Our team theme this year is our blogging community, gratitude, or being grateful for our blogging
community.
In a world filled with unspeakable things, horrors you wouldn’t
wish on your worst enemy, unimaginable deeds, and random acts of rudeness, it
is sometimes difficult to feel grateful for anything. Some days it feels like
an act of heroism just to get out of bed.
Keeping a gratitude journal, or just taking a moment to be
grateful for that beautiful sunrise, is the way to keep sane. Worrying about the
actions of others won’t change anything – except deteriorate our mental health.
Being grateful for what we have, the people we have in our lives, can make a
world of difference for our wellbeing.
So stop doomscrolling and start thanking the people who make
your life brighter.
What are you grateful
for today?

I try to strike a balance between doomscrolling, to understand what is going on and play a part in passing forward that understanding, and seeing that the world immediately around me (mostly) looks as beautiful and normal as ever. So I am grateful for economic historian, Heather Cox Richardson: Letter From An American, whose daily letter puts the chaos being engendered in the US into historical perspective - some days worse, some days better. Everything is cyclical...

I am grateful for lots of things. Good friends and good books, for instance. How many of these have you read? https://suestrifles.wordpress.com/2025/04/08/authors-beginning-with-g-atozchallenge/
I am grateful to the organizers of A to Z challenge. It makes me think some more and write.

I'm grateful to all the scientists who have been re-examining the research on autism and concluded that 'it's different (and just as prevalent) for girls.' So, now I know. It wasn't me... it was my autism. All those years of worry, gone!
I'm grateful for this blog and this challenge and all of the people who make it possible and keep it going. I might not visit your blogs but I love you guys and you all are the reason this blog continues to be a success. Keep up the good work and don't let the Green Eyed Monster get you down.
Cheers,
Barbie
HCR is the best. I started following her after many facebook friends were sharing her posts. I feel like I'm living in Orwellian times. My mission is to counteract that with pieces of beauty and joy.
I concur with Barbie. Grateful that I found this challenge, and grateful for finding new blogging friends. https://repeatsamb.blogspot.com/2025/04/a-to-z-blogging-challenge-2025-g-is-for.html

Being grateful is something that you have to be consciously doing, but I can say it comes more easily after you've exercised those muscles for a bit.
I'm grateful for the cuddly kitty and learning new things. Today's post https://experiencewriting.com/2025/04/08/depth-grammar/
