Being a blogger is a lot like being the member of a family. There are certain members you see all the time, some that you see only on special occasions (e.g. the A to Z Challenge), and some you rarely see (if ever). There are some you love, some you like, some are mere acquaintances, and some you try to avoid. And there are a lot of members of the family that you don't know yet.
Make this the year that go visit some of the blogs that you only see on special occasions. Most of them are pretty active even when they're not walking through the alphabet. Go see what they write the rest of the year. Who knows? You might find your next blog buddy.
Challenge yourself: look for people on the list whose blogs you have never seen. Look for a few who just started blogging. They could really use you friendship and support. They're members of your family, too.

A beautiful metaphor, John, which describes perfectly my experience of the A to Z in the five years it has been my pleasure to be part of "the family".
