#atozchallenge Reflections 2021

Reflections 2021 #atozchallenge

Taking the after-survey can help gather your thoughts before writing your reflection post! https://forms.gle/qUZogGKvMDVHd5rN6 That's also where you'll find the WINNER badge.

What did you like most and least about the challenge this year?
How did you do? What did you learn? Did you get out more, less, or as much as you put in?
Any thoughts on the shirts? Care to thank any team members?
Did you "double down" this year?

How many of you used a dictionary of some kind to find words for the challenge?
Did you stop to think about what it took to create a dictionary?
Sean Penn and Mel Gibson's 2019 film The Professor and the Madman explores that, while delving into the lives of two real people who were largely responsible for the creation of what would become the Oxford English Dictionary.
The critics mostly dislike the film. I thought it was good. If you're a blogger who loves words, or if you've ever been curious as to how a dictionary was compiled, or you just want to see a movie with a workaholic and someone getting treatment for mental health issues (in the 1870s), here you go. The movie is actually based on a book that is considered a biography.

  5. As I was writing my reflections, I had this idea of having a pre-camp next March to write the posts in advance. What do you all think?

  7. I scored 24/26 on the scavenger hunt (so far)!
Still searching for Cobwebs and Whales.
REALLY enjoyed your Game theme for the posts this year.

I can't say the Exit Survey gave me any things to consider for my Reflections post. It has in the past, not this time. Seemed to be all questions about logistics. And since it was embedded within the Survey post, the teeny tiny list of words for the categories was worse than trying to read directions on a prescription bottle.

Did I use a dictionary for word search? Nope.
Instead, I Google searched and searched by hashtags on Instagram for a few of the letters for the Shoes.

    Thank you A-Z team!
    Until next year!

  8. I survived another April A to Z!

This year I met and surpassed my own personal goals. I posted a Monster every day and have plenty now for my books.

I visited every blog on the list and left comments at most. I hope people enjoyed coming by to my blog.

Didn't do the scavenger hunt, but my D post was a Dragon so I at least helped out there.

I think I'll do this next year, need to see what I can think of.

  10. Gotta give Timothy S. Brannan props for how many comments he left! I knew he hit almost everyone (turns out it was the whole list), because I saw comments he made nearly everywhere I went. Very impressive.

  12. I truly appreciate all the co-hosts for doing a fabulous job this year as usual. I apologize to everyone who stopped by to visit. I'm working on catching with folks and I suspect it will take me most of this month to do it. Despite my shortcomings, I had a blast and am looking forward to 2022's A2Z Challenge. Y'all stay well on your end and come by to visit me anytime. ;)
