ReplyDeletemy post today is I for Ivory billed woodpecker https://heavygators.blogspot.com/2021/04/a-to-z-challenge-i-is-for-ivory-billed.html
It is a beautiful surprise today's post
ReplyDeleteHere from atoz https://poojapriyamvada.blogspot.com/2021/04/iktsuarpok-newnormal-a2z.html?m=1
Thanks for the random generators! Love them all! I pick abeautiful painting by artist Tansey, Forward Retreat, horses on water reflect. Then I "stand in a flat area strewn with plants. You can see the ocean to the west. The temperature is a little cool and the sky is overcast", cool! Then I listened Frank Sinatra - Miss Kittin, The Hacker, great! Then the folklore motif told me "Lies about gnats" (I have to check what a gnat is in my English-French translator). And I get lost in Canada, around the Black Lake (Latitude: 60.29168, Longitude: -105.87136, Distortion: 4.07)!
ReplyDeleteInspiration can come from everything: a color, a pattern, even a song (I made a quilt based on one of my favorite song, squares displayed to play the music: https://quiltingpatch.blogspot.com/2020/11/huahine-modern-bargello-finished-top.html)
Quilting Patchwork & Appliqué
Interesting links, though I don't usually have a problem with finding inspiration - I think my head is too stuffed full and it's dying to get out.
ReplyDeleteToday's chapter deals with Drugs on Hawaii 2 and the post section asks whether we might be addicted to Information or Data just like addiction to drugs...
https://how-would-you-know.blogspot.com/2021/04/i-is-for-information.html
I got the French translation for Lies about gnats, but still don't understand it. "Mensonges sur les moucherons"? really?
ReplyDeletecan someone explain to me what this means, please?
Thanks ;)
Random things can inspire me, but this year I am trying to be more focussed. https://suestrifles.wordpress.com/2021/04/10/inheritance-atozchallenge/
ReplyDeleteSpringhole does the Generators so well.
ReplyDeleteI like to use the jewellery and clothing style ones when I can.
Yes we can be addicted to information.
There is a guy called Stuart McLaren and he is really awesome at drawing comics. That's from whom I drew some artistic inspiration [and some psychological inspiration].
McLaren makes a point about being socially dislocated and finding ways to adapt. This is one purpose of an information/data addiction. And feeling like is purposeless/that you're powerless.
Sarah Frisch made me think harder about sporting inspiration especially the colour journalistic variety.
And Susan Sanderson - this sporting inspiration always used to say FOCUS to his varsity basketball team.
Frederique: I think they picked that translation for looks and matches.
@Adelaide: Thank you ;))
ReplyDeleteDo you have a link to your blog (looks like you are not on Geopolitically Incorrect anymore)?
Mostly it's people.... not those big achievers but every day people who fight back against what life throws in their way and keep going

Finally something that is not a stretch. I get inspiration from MtG and my theme is exactly getting inspiration from the cards of that game to turn them into D&D magic items. Today, for example, we have the Immortal Sun.

My inspiration for this challenge is meeting new bloggers, revisiting folks I've met in past years, and learning, always learning, from the wisdom of others. What inspires me daily I also find in blog posts: colorful flowers and interesting landscapes; many styles of music; and the positive outlook on life that is showcased by the AtoZChallenge participants.
