We have done it! Another year of the A to Z Challenge flew by. Whew! It was an unusual year, for sure, but we are all extremely happy that you all made it happen!
Here are some numbers:
510 blogs were signed up for the Master List this year. Not our highest number ever, but still a pretty good number for a blogging challenge! We also had a lot of returning bloggers, which was great to see!
92 blogs signed up but didn't post. This always happens, but it is especially understandable this year, when everyone is a little out of sorts, and readjusting to a different routine.
Author/Writing was, once again, our most popular category. We had (at least) 120 authors with us this year!
702 is the number of comments you lovely people left on the main blog this year! That's about 23 comments a day. Thank you for visiting!
If you would like to help us learn more about the experience you had this year, don't forget to fill out the After Survey here!
If you would like to add your blog to the list of Reflections, fill out the Google Form here and view the list of participating blogs here.
On a more personal note: I think this year was the Year of Good Commenters. Maybe because of the lower number of blogs participating, or maybe because everyone is trying to be kinder in these trying times, but the comments I have received and seen were all friendly, and contained substance and encouragement, rather than things like "hi."
What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Had a different experience? Can't wait to read all of your Reflections posts! Sign up here!
Thank you all for participating, for visiting, for posting, for commenting, and for making this year's 2020 Mission a success! Happy Blogging! See you on the Road Trip!
We had some comments every day on the simulcast blog, too, so that number is closer to 800.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this wonderful blogging challenge.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks again for this challenge, I had a lot of fun writing and visiting more blogs. And I haven't finished reading them yet! :D
ReplyDeleteMy year was quiet, as I only visited blogs where bloggers visited me but I got quite a few good comments and everyone seemed to enjoy my theme. I grabbed the chance to write something every day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting the challenge, it was a great time to spend together and connect. A lot of very nice and kind comments, thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this challenge. It helped me deal with a lot of stress amidst the chaos and uncertainty of life.i just added the reflection post.
ReplyDeleteA big hurrah for the team of A to Z and for all those who participated and made this unusual April quite a treat.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
Stay safe and healthy and happy.
I was one of the ones that signed but did not participate because the stress and being isolated......still am I couldn't concentrate.
ReplyDeleteI apologise as I regard the challenge as special you see on the first A to Z I was the first to sign up.
Congrats to all who took part and made it through and hope everyone is well and happy.
Take care.
Yvonne.
An enjoyable and diverting A to Z Challenge 2020 -- particularly as we were all sheltering at home due to the Covid-19 quarantine. Thanks so much to the organizers and greatly appreciate that you included a genealogy category this year! Here is my reflections post https://mollyscanopy.com/2020/05/reflections-and-recap-of-endwell-my-elementary-years-atozchallenge/
ReplyDeleteMy 2020 reflection is here.
ReplyDeleteThanks to all who stopped by!
A big thank you to the organisers and fellow bloggers. Like earlier occasions, this year too, I enjoyed the entire experience through the month of April. Got to read some amazing articles on different blogs and getting to know each other through the comments.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe.
Thank you for hosting this challenge. I enjoyed this year, my third. It's something to look forward to in April.
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed participating in A2Z 2020. Thank you for organizing it so well. The spreadsheets with links were so user-friendly, and having the separate interest/subject spreadsheet for the blogs was welcomed.
ReplyDeleteTo the entire A to Z team, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for your selfless, hard work on behalf of Blogosphere to keep this annual event rolling! I did play along with quite the gusto as past years but did my best to do return visits even if I couldn't get to replying on my blog and I always left a comment on every blog. I think next year I might have to take a break. I'm feeling more fatigued at the end of this round than previous years. Of course, next April is a long way off and I may find new energies. We'll see how things go. Anyway I totally appreciate everyone and thank everyone who came calling at Curious as a Cathy. You'll find my A2Z reflections in today's post, Chromatics. I forgot to include the hasttag in my title. Catch later, folks and please stay well! xx
ReplyDeleteHip, Hip, array --> another interesting parade. . . so informative,an inspiring challenge and joy to see what others think and say. Thank-you producers of A2Z and who show their amazing talents.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to everyone on the team, most especially Jeremy Hawkins with his great graphics. From my limited perspective, I'd agree that the comments were all positive where I dropped by - and on my site. Although I took part in A to Z, my posts were links to my previous years doing the Challenge. So, my reflection isn't happening, especially as I've managed to visit too few blogs - I'm working through a few still...for a few weeks/months.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch for all the good work, attention, and care.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good challenge once more!
ReplyDeleteI've posted my reflections on my regular blogging day. I am still finding great blogs from the #AtoZChallenge on Twitter. https://suestrifles.wordpress.com/2020/05/07/reflections-on-the-blogging-from-a-to-z-in-april-challenge-2020/
Once again April has meant great fun with AtoZ. I’ve had more comments this year too. I’m still catching up visiting blogs. I’ve really enjoyed your posts this year. Looking forward to next year Thank you
ReplyDeleteI cratered on Y--SIP finally got to me--but I found some new blogs that I enjoy reading. I'm catching up on visiting. It's too late for official reflections, but I'll post one anyway. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeen quite a ride this AtoZ! Thanks to our hosts for keeping us focused on the positive.

Thank you to all the team who made this possible - I only discovered the whole thing on April 1st, for the first time, I will be back all things being equal, it is a great achievement for everybody!

ReplyDeleteTechnology is not my friend. I want to file make a copy but that option is grayed out for me. View is all I can do. I want to participate more fully and really like the idea of tracking in my own workbook. Maybe I will figure it out or give up ...
ReplyDeleteJ-Dub ~ You may need to be signed in to a Google account to make a copy of the spreadsheet.
ReplyDeleteI participated in one A to Z years ago and loved it. I'll be watching for more info on this year's A to Z Blog Challenge. Will it be the same topic?
