My own reference book was originally written as A to Z posts. This has me wondering — how many of us have books out there for sale right now that exist as a direct result of this wonderful blogging challenge?
I would like to see some titles and links! PLEASE ONLY LINK TO BOOKS WRITTEN FOR AND PUBLISHED AS A RESULT OF THE A TO Z CHALLENGE.
(Links should go to Amazon, Smashwords, Goodreads, or other such websites where your A to Z book is for sale.)
What else has participation in the challenge resulted in creating? Is there artwork thanks to the challenge? Games, new recipes, or a travel itinerary perhaps? Talk about it in the comments, please!

I have a picture book manuscript as a result of A-to-Z, but unfortunately haven't polished it enough yet to submit for publication.
ReplyDeleteI published a book as a result of the A to Z challenge. Not a top seller, but still pretty cool to see it in print.

ReplyDeleteFor the last couple of years I've cross stitch a piece for the A-z Challenge. A couple of my alphabet cross-stitch designs came about because people requested them for their own stitching challenge.

Here's mine that I just finished self-publishing! It's funny that this post came up while I was working on this! https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/706079
ReplyDeleteNo links for you, but I've got several ideas from past Challenges that I'd love to develop someday. It's definitely led to some wonderful stories and ideas!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! I had wondered about this, too. The A to Z Challenge is a wonderful way to see if anyone's interested in reading your stuff. I self-published my first book after getting such a great response to the topic on the 2013 A to Z Challenge. It's a travel guide to quirky, offbeat & overlooked places called Unexpected Texas: https://www.amazon.com/Unexpected-Texas-Offbeat-Overlooked-History/dp/1495421961
ReplyDeleteI'm actually working on something right now where the stories in it were started as a result of the A to Z Challenge. Tui Snider is the one who encouraged me to do it too.
ReplyDeleteI see several here that I want to check out! I know of one fellow who published a book from his posts. And I know of an author who do entries on her research for a book, that I am sure she used to stir some buzz, but also made fascinating historical reading.
ReplyDeleteactually while writing some posts or even comments one may come up with some nice ideas which eventually can become the main theme of the book..personally i haven't written a book yet but a few of my ultius.pro pieces were written because of my replies to some of your posts..so thank you AtoZChallenge
ReplyDeleteI've written several books based on my A to Z Challenge posts! I still haven't finished compiling last year's Chicago themed posts into a book, but I have published the following:
ReplyDelete* San Diego From A to Z: http://www.amazon.com/San-Diego-Alphabetical-Alphabet-Guides/dp/1511530480/
* Montreal From A to Z: http://www.amazon.com/Montreal-Alphabetical-Guide-Alphabet-Guides-ebook/dp/B00GI0SQ4I/
* Awesome Lady Authors From A to Z: https://www.amazon.com/Awesome-Lady-Authors-Laura-Roberts-ebook/dp/B01CQLWIV4/
* Play With Me: Sex Toys From A to Z (18+ only!): http://www.amazon.com/Play-With-Me-Sex-Toys-ebook/dp/B00RY8YDGI
My daughter arranged to have my 2015 A to Z challenge posts printed in a hardcover book as a surprise gift for me. No, it's not really a published book, but it is a treasure that I never would have done for myself.
