Welcome to Letter B! B is the best letter because it's the beginning of some very great words like
BOOK! And that's what I, as your Challenge Librarian will be bringing you. Books, books, and more books! I've got a book for everyone!
Breakdown by Jonathan Kellerman
Brotherhood in Death
Both are murder mystery books to get your heart racing.
Brookly, by Colm Toibin
A lovely little book about a young woman who travels from Ireland to New York City in search of a better life.
Being Mortal by Atul Gawande
A discussion by a surgeon on why and how medicine can improve lives.
Book Thief by Markus Zusak
A little girl, books, and the Holocaust.
So there you have it. Something for everyone! After you've visited all the blogs and made new friends, take a moment to celebrate by (eating cake) and settling down with a good book. You've had a busy two days.
Rest up, the next letter isn't until Monday.

I am desperate to read Brooklyn. That looks like an amazing read. I am going to put it on my list for summer. Too many others to read at the moment. My Kindle is cluttered with purchases I have yet to read. I think I am going to get the audio book of The Book Thief. Everyone says that is a life-changing book.
Thanks for your book selections. They interest me.
Shalom,
Patricia @ EverythingMustChange
Thanks Pam! No time to read books! You gotta be kidding!
I'm sure with a name like Girl Who Reads, you can guess what my B post is about.

Books, books, books. Too many books. Not enough books. Too little time to read all the books!
Have a great day off. CU on C-Day ;-)

I can't rest too much. I've the bulk of posts to write. Good intentions often go astray.
I still haven't read The Book Thief! That just has to happen this summer.
A friend of mine had gifted 'The Book Thief' to me about three years ago, I still haven't read it (deeply ashamed).
I wrote down several of these books to read after the challenge :)
betty
Reading? I remember doing that!

Read the book, The Book Thief, and saw the movie. Both excellent.

I can't believe I haven't read The Book Thief. I really need make time for it and Brooklyn
Ahh books, that is the theme of my A-Z challenge. The Book Thief is on my to read list. Sadly that list keeps getting longer, not shorter.
Here is the link to my post for the day.

Awesome choices - I love books!
Loads of good books, but no time to read this month. The TBR pile is the place right now. Thanks for the info!

books are better than just about anything right Claire?
I hear ya Joy.
This one is from the heart. A short story "Breaking Dishes" about empowering rape victims. Breaking Dishes

I thought Being Mortal was an excellent book that everyone should read as a lot of it deals with how to approach the end for both ourselves and the ones we love.
My reading list is going to get really long this month
My reading list is going to get really long this month
I don't read murder mysteries often, but the ones I have have been good. I like the covers of these.
"Being Mortal" has been on my TBR list for a while - seeing it here reminds me that I've got to carve out some reading time soon. (But not this month.) As far as the challenge, I've read some really fascinating blogs, as usual. They've added to my vocabulary, given me some tips about animals and DIY projects, and I've read some fine stories. The A to Z seems to be off to a great start!
I really like Jonathan Kellerman. I haven't read any of his in a while.
My reading list is already a mile long, and I fear it will only get longer.
Loved the Book Thief. I should take a look at the Brooklyn! Seems interesting. Thanks very much, Pam! Happy AtoZ! :)
The Book Thief is AMAZING!!
I LOVE the story.
I loved The Book Thief but I haven't seen the movie yet. The cover you posted reminds me I should check out the movie sometime.
I did see the Book Thief as a movie. I didn't realize it was a book. Most likely because I didn't pay attention. I would have to put that on my reading list anyways!
B is for Books - how brilliant. I'd really like to read Brooklyn. Have a restful weekend. Mine is almost over and the challenge continueth :)
Great post! Thanks for the tips. Gonna be taking notes and adding to my to read list.
Hi there!
I’m stopping by from the #AtoZChallenge. What a good collection of books and some I think I need to add to my "to read" list...;~)
I have two blogs in this challenge…my author blog at THE STORY CATCHER (www.donnalmartin.com) and my KICKS Kids Club blog (www.kickskidsclub.blogspot.com) . If you get a chance, check them out and good luck with the challenge!

Congratulations, another new record! How interesting that the total count stands at 2016 in this year of 2016!
So love the Book Thief! :D And here's my letter B: https://areadingwritr.wordpress.com/2016/04/02/bilin-a-bop/
That's great.
And here are my Take from B

I've not read any of those books, but then I've been too busy lately trying to get it together for this challenge! ;-) However, once I accomplish this challenge, which is its own kind of reading list, I'll get back to reading for pleasure. Thanks for putting this blogging adventure together.
The book thief makes me cry just thinking about it. Brooklyn is a movie, right? I haven't seen it, but maybe I will read, or listen to it. Being mortal also yells at me that I should read it. My B was also about books, books and boxes, archival boxes for books. http://womenslegacyproject.com/a-legacy-tools-2/
Why not have a link up for everyone's posts each day? It would be so much easier to find other bloggers to connect with.
I must agree with Kelly, it would have been much easier if there'd been a link up app. Nice post though ... and here's my contribution for the A to Z challenge - letter "b" ... https://bastetandsekhmet.wordpress.com/2016/04/02/namowripo-a-to-z-challenge-b-april-2-2016/ Cheers, Bastet
