My name is Joy and I’ve been blogging since
2008. Since that time, blogging has become an important part of my online
presence. The year 2011 was the first time I did the A-Z Challenge and I thoroughly
enjoyed it. This year, I'll be a co-host during the Challenge, which is a first
for me.
Somehow, I’ve never been able to write all
of my posts prior to the start of the Challenge, but that hasn’t prevented me
from participating fully each April. If I would take the time to collate my
Challenge themes over the years, I’d have several books worth reading.
So a little about me …
I live in Jamaica and have been reading
novels and writing stories since childhood. My books are published under the name/s
J.L. Campbell and Jayda McTyson. I was lucky enough to get three publishing
contracts in a short time span. Since then, I’ve self-published a number of
romantic suspense, women’s fiction, new and young adult books. Needless to say,
I love writing!
Some extras about me:
J.L. Campbell, A-Z Co-host |
I can't stand seeing animals or children
suffer
Documentaries that cover strange subjects
fascinate me *don't ask*
I never go out without lipstick
Etymology fascinates me
I never go to bed early unless I'm ill,
which is rarely
I’ve always enjoyed the Challenge and look
forward to participating again this year. Have you settled on a theme yet?
Written up all your posts?

reliable and can help with visiting blogs, do leave me a comment and I'll come
stalk contact you.

Nice to meet you Joy! Sounds like you have had good success with your writing :) Am helping Stephen, but hope you do find some helpers :)
ReplyDeleteI do have a theme for A/Z; looking forward to revealing it on March 23rd. I have about 9 posts written, hoping to have them all done by April 1st :)

Nice to meet you too, Betty. I need to get moving. Sounds like you're off to a good start.
DeleteHello, Joy!
ReplyDeleteHey, Debra. Nice to 'meet' you!
DeleteWe are so fortunate to have you on our A to Z Team this year. Thank you for being there for us!
ReplyDeleteI won't ask, but now I'm curious about those documentaries. I wonder if I've seen any of them as I too like to watch documentaries about strange subjects.

Thanks so much for having me as part of the team, Arlee.
DeleteAll I'll say about the documentaries ... My Strange Addiction, Body Bizarre, et al. :)
Okay--got it. I think I saw one episode My Strange Addiction--it was about people who made themselves to look like dolls. Weird. Haven't seen Body Bizarre but it does sound interesting.

ReplyDeleteI'm never sick either.
Thanks, Alex. Being on your team gave me good practice.
DeleteI love documentaries and shows about weird stuff. Monsters Inside Me a show on Animal Planet about parasites living inside humans is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteStephen, yes, Monsters Inside Me is one of those I watch. Fascinating stuff!
DeleteNice to learn more about you!
ReplyDeleteHeather
Thanks, Heather.

DeleteWell if I come across a strange question, I know who to contact. ;=) You sound so unbelievably talented. I look forward to reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteLaughing at your comment, Ann. I'm a store house of weird factoids too. ;)
DeleteThanks for your kind words.
Three publishing contracts, wowza! I'd be happy to recommend some documentaries that are kinda under the mainstream radar and have odd subject matters. You might enjoy watching them :)
ReplyDeleteHey Joy!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on those 6 points!
I too hate seeing kids/animals suffer, like strange documentaries (have you watched the doccie Taboo?), feel quite naked without my lipstick, love words/etymology, never go to bed early, love the AtoZ challenge and it's also my 5th challenge...
I'm so happy to be one a part of your brigade!
Hi JL,
ReplyDeleteI am a bit late here,
Nice to know a bit more lovely facts about you thru this post.
Keep sharing.
I am glad that I am in with your brigade this year.
Let's hope for a better working together.
Good Wishes
