Can you believe there's only one more day left in January, 2015? This first month flew by and I expect time to continue its fast wheeling. Have you accomplished what you hoped to during these first thirty days of the year.
I wrote over 40,000 words during this month, wrote 23 blog posts and didn't keep count of the blogs I visited or how many Tweets I wrote and read 11 books. And that is 1/12th of my year. How great would 2015 be if I multiply those numbers by twelve? A pretty good year.
I don't do the New Year's Resolutions thing but I do make some general plans. January far surpassed my planning. Can I do all that 11 more times?
Look back at your past month. Did you do well? Can you multiply that by twelve? Or can you do even better.
I'd like to think I can all except for one month. APRIL! During that one month, my focus will be on blogging, making new contacts and having fun as well as making sure that participants have a good experience. Have you signed up yet?
Did you accomplish everything you planned on during January? Can you take what you did then and do that much twelve more times. Or do you need to step up your game? Are you better with short term goals or long term plans? Is A to Z part of this year's plan? What works best for you? Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly goals?
I got some of what I planned done this month. Getting back into the swing of things after Christmas and posting more often than before made it a little hard for me earlier in January, but I'm doing okay now. And I should get working on my A to Z posts.
ReplyDeleteI had to force myself back to work after the holidays. Like you, I'm back in the swing now.
DeleteI'm happy with what I've done so far this year. My blogging has jumped to 3 times a week, and I am keeping the schedule well. Looking forward to April, but I do need to get some of those posts written!
ReplyDeleteThree times per week is what I try to do too along with extra duties like this post.
DeleteI did good for January. Not sure I can maintain that pace all year.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you have a choice. At least not until Dragon comes out.
DeleteYou had a great month!! I don't think I can duplicate January for the rest of the year since end of December we moved to a different state, so January was spent adjusting, unpackng, doing all those things you need to do after you move, get new license, etc. I did start walking again in January and hope to increase that in the months ahead. Definitely looking forward to A/Z; have only 5 letters to need something for my theme :)
ReplyDeleteMay the rest of your year be as productive as January!
betty
Moving is a very legitimate excuse. Only five letters left? Good for you!
DeleteBefore I even started what I wanted to do the month was at it's end. The month of January flew by like crazy!

Tossing It Out
I know. Exactly my feelings. Happy Birthday.
DeleteI did get a lot done this month. I had goals and todo lists and they really helped. Hopefully I can keep the momentum up times 12.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, set the pace for us, Patricia.
DeleteI like to have an assortment of goals. Some monthly, some weekly, some daily. As a whole, I'm pleased with the course I've taken thus far this year.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing month! Amazing! I didn't accomplish a lot writing-wise this January, but I did get some personal things dealt with that needed to be addressed. So while I hope to do better with my writing in the coming months, I'd still say January was well spent for me.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your outstanding, and very successful, January.
ReplyDeleteNo resolutions here either, just one goal, to find 15 min each day to write. I was surprised how easy it was once I realized it was up to me to make my goal a reality. I will continue along and see how I fair in February.
Also, I was surprised how fast the month flew by - I wished it would slow down a tad and let me catch up with the current day. :)
Be Happy, Jenny

I blogged 21 times! and I made it to the gym and or pool 15 times so I feel very good about that. So yes, I will try to multiply that by 12. Good idea.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I don't do the New Year's Resolution thinggie.
ReplyDeleteI did okay last month.
Need to keep the momentum...

January disappeared way to fast. I like January very much. Winter is the bet time of the year, I think >:)

My January goal was to decide if I was going to sign up for this -- and check it out, I did! :) Of course, I messed up my sign-up and forgot to put the "category code" on mine. Sigh. For the record, I'm mostly a writing/storytelling blog -- at least, that seems to be where I settle the most.
