Hi!
It's ME!
Stormy the Weather Gnome!
We're changing things up a bit so you don't get bored.
Don't worry, we're still on the road to nowhere, still can't drive 55, AND still running against the wind.
Just a quick side-trip note while Stormy picks up some much needed personal gnome travel items.
One of the co-hosts of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, Alex J. Cavanaugh, has some special news to share today.
As you may know, he founded the Insecure Writer's Support Group, which started out with just a few bloggers and now tips the scales at 268 members, has it's own website, Facebook page, Facebook critique circle and now...
...has its own published book!
From Alex:

Thanks to everyone who contributed and to my IWSG Admins who worked so hard to put it together. This was a huge project, but we wanted to celebrate three years of the IWSG right and highlight its blog and Facebook members in the process. We hope you’ll find some great information within the pages and spread the word about this awesome book.
You guys rock!
You need to go check this out!
Hey, FYI, it's December.
Sign-ups for the 2015 Challenge start in January.
It's time to start thinking about your April theme!

Thanks for the shout out for the book. Still thinking about that theme.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my 2014 theme so much I may just continue with it. I'm sure the writers among us will appreciate the new book.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Alex! As far as my 2015 theme...still thinking...I'm hoping for some magic light bulb moment :)
ReplyDeleteYay for collaboration! Off to tweet and spread the word.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather .. just collected it and yes Alex and you all IWSGers and A-Zers all rock .. congratulations and cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteAre those Sour Cream and Onion chips in Stormy's bag? Yum! A children's book is one of the very few things I ever wanted to get published. The catch is that I'd have to finish writing it first. Oh the pressure!
ReplyDelete~Nicole
I already know my theme. It will be 100 word flash fiction with weird words. Again. Because they went over really well the last 2 years and I had lots of fun. =D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy theme is just starting to take shape...
Love all your song references in the first paragraph! Great shout out for the group!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe IWSG book is rocking the blogosphere!
ReplyDeleteMy 2015 A to Z challenge theme? I have two options...still trying to decide...
Awesome, guys!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the comments!
Yes, Nicole, those were sour cream & onion chips!
Heather
Stormy seem as if he's good to go for his travels.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to everybody who contributed to the publication!
Well done Stormy on keeping going
ReplyDeleteWell done Alex and all on the Book
As for 2015. . . I hope to do it, but it depends on the timing of other events but I know what the theme will be, its the drawings thats the killer because of the time it can take. No aardvarks this year just unknown Victorians and a lot of steam, iron and gears.
I just downloaded my copy of The IWSG Guide to Publishing and Beyond. Looking forward to reading it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope those are not illegal fireworks Stormy picked up. I can see him strapping himself to a bottle rocket and going fro a ride.
Just bought the book! Kudos to you all ..
ReplyDeleteWell, I was planning to join ISWG in January. Do I have to read and digest the book first? That's a shame, I wanted to work on my theme... Natural phenomena!
