The sad announcement of the passing of Tina Downey appears on her blog Life Is Good today.
Tina has been an integral part of the A to Z Team for many years and has been the motivator and scheduler on the Blogging from A to Z Challenge Blog.
We will post a tribute to Tina here later in the week. For the time being we hope you will leave a message for her family at Life Is Good.
We all love you Tina! You will be missed.
We will have a wonderful tribute for her. Tina was such an amazing person.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the tribute to her. She was such a dear, sweet, loyal friend and I joined her team this past spring even though I wasn't doing A-Z just cause I love her so much. I can't stop crying. How is it that I'll never talk to her again? :'(
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it either. I woke up super early in the morning, checked my email, been crying ever since and never went back to sleep.
ReplyDeleteThe thought of AZ feels so empty without her.
Everyone seems to be knocked acock by this happening. What will we do without her. I think the outpouring of love and affection on her blog really shows what people felt about her.
ReplyDeleteTina was the best... period. Keeping a smile in the dark times, may she rest... thank you for being my friend.
ReplyDeleteThere is a huge void without Tina, indeed. This news came out of left field and hits so hard. JoJo called it perfectly...Tina's loyalty is unmatched. Her presence will be felt for a long, long time. I cannot believe what has just transpired.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with you all - I had fun-loving banter with her ... and we laughed at all aspects of life .. and she was fiercely protective of her Viking roots ... I've been missing her hugely ... she will continue to inspire us ... we will all have an enormous void in our lives ... my thoughts are with her family ...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that news. . . very sad indeed.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally shocked. She's been so helpful to me, such a great support. Love to her family and all her friends.
ReplyDeleteI did not know her but obviously she had tremendous spirit and touched many lives
ReplyDeleteTina was instrumental in getting me launched on my blog, and I am eternally grateful for her friendship, encouragement and mentoring. I loved her, and I am so sorry for the loss for her family and all of you. I published a tribute to Tina today on my blog, and I will hold her in my heart forever.
ReplyDeleteShe'll be missed, greatly. I can't really wrap my brain around it yet. I didn't know her as well as most but her absence is deeply felt.
ReplyDeletei keep hoping it's not true.
ReplyDeletePrayers are going out to Tina's family and friends.
ReplyDeleteVery sad indeed.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to hear this. Thinking of her family and friends.
