ROAR into the #atozchallenge !

When a lion roars in the savannah, it strikes fear into the heart of all that listen to its long drawn out grunts.

But AZers have a different kind of roar. Their roars call to people, help build community, and with each comment they leave in the savannah of blogland, they make new friends, share new joys, acquire new knowledge.

How is the A to Z Challenge treating you? Are you roaring through, or do you sense a flag in energies? Have you made new friends? New followers? Earned comments and appreciation?

If you feel low, go into a room, close all the doors and windows, and roar!

Let all the air and sound and tension rush out of you, and then, when you attack the screen and the list of blogs you need to visit, you'll find renewed energy!

Here's to roaring through the A to Z Challenge!

  1. My energy is flagging but coffee and chocolate is helping beat that. Oh, and so are the amazing bloggers who are visiting my blog, commenting and Following, plus all the new folks I'm meeting through the A-Z list. :)

    We can do this!

  3. I'm really enjoying the challenge. I've found seven new blogs which I'll continue to follow and have gained 11 new followers on my blog. I'm enjoying seeing the diversity of blogs out there and the challenge has broadened my horizons.

  4. I'm fading fast over here, ugh lol. I've flirted with the idea of just quitting early. But, we're so close to the finish and I'm going to keep on going!

  6. Yes, I am roaring through and enjoying the challenge of story telling through my collection of vintage photos. My AtoZ Blog Roll is growing, the followers have increased and I'm keeping up with commenting. It's a challenge to get through the Original List without running into dropouts/capcha's/off topic posts...so I have taken to 'Piggybacking' off of comments from blogs I visit....like this one. Especially nice when signature links are used. Thanks for the encouragement to keep ROARING!

  7. Lions are my favorite animal! I need a pep-talk everyday now...there's just so much real life to do now that school is almost out that I'm finding it hard to keep up. I'm glad the Road Trip is coming up...then I can really catch up.
If you don't know what the Road Trip is, keep watching and reading here. It will be announced early May and you don't want to miss the fun!

  8. Thank you for dropping the comments on my blog. I was humbled to know that you have taken pain in encouraging an amateur blogger like me. When I have realized that there was so-called A-Z challenge, I found that the bloggers have already traveled few letters of the English alphabets. However, using the pattern of A-Z challenge I am making a snail pace movement to complete my writing till Z. Thank you so much for encouraging the world of writers. Best of Luck.

  9. This is my fourth year with the challenge and I believe... no, I know... it is the best year for me yet. Thank you, each and all, for the dedication you have given not only in April, but for all the months preceding it. I haven't ever written a reflections post but I know this year it will be a MUST do. So much wonderfulness I can't stop ROARING about it!

  12. I love this post! The roar of AZers is amazing. I started out with 94 followers and now I have 112. I've also received fabulous support and recognition for my posts through comments. This Challenge and all the AZers give me something positive to look forward to each day. :)

  15. I pre-wrote all my posts so I am doing fine. I am visiting, visiting, visisting. I am disappointed that lots of people have come to visit but they don't leave comments. That is part of this that I don't understand. Even if I don't like the topic, I will at least tell them I am visiting from A to Z.

  16. I am keeping up with the challenge this year. I wish I could reach more people, and get some more followers. I think the more followers you have the more your writing will get out into the world. I think that having people leave feedback on your work helps a lot when you edit your current pieces. Check out my current W.I.P on my q page with a 4 page snippet from the first chapter!

  17. I started out the race with new shoes and high spirits. I go to 4/15, came down with something due to migraines, and stumbled. Up to that point, I had covered 100 sign-ups, beside my followers. So I will go roar, and put on different shoes.

  21. Rawr! I'm having a blast. I know I'll finish because I've already written all my posts. I got on a roll over the weekend. Now I can spend all my time meeting even more people through their blogs. I think I've visited and commented on well over 20 this evening, in addition to my regular list of those I visit everyday. Intense, but worth it!

  22. I am still enjoying the A to Z challenge and have made new followers and found new people to follow. It has been an interesting journey so far and I have even thought of how odd it will be returning to a non alphabetised blogging. :)

  23. This challenge has been great. I already feel the pull of wanting to be done with it, yet I have made a few friends and fans that have given me a lot of energy to continue on. The greatest compliment is when people tell me they have learned something new, or that they liked my examples.

I am doing 2 literary terms a day and then compare them together as a means to teach writers to add more to their stories. I borrow from literature, game theory, psychology, sociology, and even tv tropes. I myself have learned a few things.

I have a question - could someone help me out - scheduling doesn't seem to work for me … I'm in Ireland and I'm putting in the correct time zone etc but the blog is still not sending … Any suggestions?

  27. Still enjoying the journey. I've managed to visit 165 blogs so far, plus the ones I visit each day. I've met a few people which I will continue to follow after the challenge has finished, and I've also picked up a few new followers along the way too. So I'm more than happy. :)
