Only On A Sunday and a Message for My Blog Friends!

On Friday "TOSSING IT OUT" posed this question and I thought about it and wanted to share more on my take, so I want you to visit there, first!

What Can Happen If a Blog Post Goes Viral?.... ...... .. ... ...a few words from someone who's been there!

I thought about this and this is the what I felt like about the whole "Where are you" in the blog community? We all wish for that one post that will bring us into the light, though it is a good light... finding our way to the top without hurting someone or getting hurt. It might be a strong "TITLE" or "SUBJECT"... maybe "TRENDING", what makes you grab attention? I would like you to really go read this post, it is a great strong important post. Much success to all of you and your quest to be heard... maybe stop over to my site, say Hello!

  2. Thanks Jeremy for this info about Arlee's post and the wonderful personality called Lisa Long, Let me repeat her words here again:
"I cannot tell you how to make your blog go viral. But I can tell you this: Tell your truth. Tell it well. And accept the consequences."
That’s it let us tell the truth and face it.
Today I posted a Malayalam post of telling a great truth. A thing people just follow without konwing its consequences, I am sure by that post i may get many enemies, and I am sure many will get annoyed on that post, but I decided to tell the truth, I just posted that few minutes back.
That is before reading this post and Arlee’s post.
But the thing here is that I need to travel a lot I mean miles and miles to reach that goal, Thanks a lot again for the notification about Arlee's post here.
    Keep Inform.
    Best Regards
    Phil

  3. I am quite content to get the comments I do get, as for going viral I don't know what I would do.
    Good post.

  4. I read the post, one of a few about the subject of blogs that Arlee had written in the last few days or so. What went through my mind was that yes the post went viral, but it stemmed from a terribly tragic event and I felt a little uneasy about the title of that blog post which resulted in it going viral.

I would love more folk to read my blog but I would not like it to happen under the circumstances relating to that particular instance. I think the nature of my blog even if I do sometimes ponder the state of world politics and religion in my own way means my blog will remain seriously in obscurity for ever. I would much rather my artwork or music went viral than my blog.

  5. I would like more people to read my blog, but I would hate it to go viral. I wouldn't even want to be as popular as Alex even.

  6. Thanks Jeremy for this post. I'd like readers to continue to check out Liza's posts on my blog and hers since it has so many important messages to convey about blogging and other issues.

Unfortunately sometimes it takes a tragedy to get attention for a neglected issue. Attention comes from taking a drastic measure such as the title of Liza's Newtown post. Using an attention getting device is what is generally recommended for a blog post to attract readers.

Rob: My primary point in my "Respect" series was getting to the roots of marketing. A large number of bloggers have books, art, or some product they want to market using small marketing budgets. The blogging helps, but a viral blog post that gets media attention can be very valuable in getting brand recognition and reaching wider audiences. This is just common sense--a practical suggestion. Getting there may not be easy and one may never accomplishment that goal, but if you don't dream it and try to do it and viral or widely received blog post will probably never happen.

If you are marketing yourself and your product and trying to do it without any money, then you've got a tough road ahead of you.

  8. My heart goes out for people who have children with emotional problems. However I have to say that we do have a responsibility to keep our homes free of dangerous weapons specially if we have children( or any one else) who cannot understand the dangers of their use and who might use them at the smallest provocation.

  9. I am just talking to myself and if anyone else wants to listen that is OK by me...The thought of having a viral post is just too scarry :)
