We are halfway through the A to Z Challenge - are you still motivated?
True motivation comes from within. We can read something exciting, listen to a speech, or hear a motivational speaker, but unless the desire gets deep into our soul, we won’t stay motivated.
You’ve come this far. If you’re growing weary, it’s time to dig deep and remember why you began this journey. To improve your blogging skills? To make new friends? To draw attention to your blog? Whatever the reason, only you can motivate yourself to keep going.
Motivation is a goal in action. Recall why you joined the A to Z and place that in front of you as a goal. And don’t stop until you hit the target.
Believe in yourself - and get excited!
One sure needs motivation to stay on a single path and not stray :)

I must admit I found it hard going on the hopping part last week - and I've fallen behind my target of 30 hops a day. It's partly due to very slow loading of web pages - something that seemed to be common in many parts of the world last week, judging from other comments.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the motivating post!!

Nice thought on motivation. It's true anything can motivate us if we have it within us.
ReplyDeleteDoing my best, Diane - thank you for the motivational post...now to think of something with M...
ReplyDeleteOnce I started, not finishing did not seem like an option!
ReplyDeleteIt does have to come from within...but I will admit I'm weary from trying to get foul-mouthed bloggers to add a warning, trying to visit as many as humanly possible, and still write, co-host, and be a mom. Thanks for the reminder to dig deep.

I'm feeling refreshed after the weekend and enjoying hopping around today! I'll be away for a few days during the latter half of the Challenge, so I'm motivated to do as much as I can before then.
ReplyDeleteI'm away for a few days next week, I'm scheduling posts now, subject to changes but I'm still motivated and really enjoying hopping around. Now I just have to get a bit further ahead for the rest of this week too.
ReplyDeleteThis has been lots of fun, reading all the new blogs and their posts, I think that's what has been keeping me motivated to keep posting.
ReplyDeleteA nice post! Good to encourage halfway through. As I'm feeling healthier, it's definitely feeling easier. A-to-Z is a pretty smooth experience. Might try something more ambitious than usual for T-day!

I'm on holiday, which is great for motivation. The only problem is that I'm so busy. Just blogged M for message, with a poem and photo called Message in the sand. It's great weather here! I'm really enjoying taking part in the challenge.
ReplyDeleteLast week was rougher than usual on me, but I'm still here...and caught up! WOOHOO!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the motivating pep talk.
ReplyDeleteSome days it's really hard to find the motivation, although I'm still motivated to write, I'm less motivated to promote. :P

This definitely is an unusual A to Z for me, as so many things happened this month leaving me a very tired blogger.
ReplyDeleteI still am on track though, which is awesome and I am convinced I will make it.
The one thing that I really regret is not having had the energy to interact much the past weeks, I do hope to be able to catch up over the next couple of weeks though!
Appreciate the encouragement! I'm sticking to it :) and enjoying the challenge!

I'm still motivated!
ReplyDeleteLike you said, believe in yourself.
ReplyDeleteStill on track! I'm actually really enjoying this challenge. I will have to keep an eye out for more blog-hops like this in the future.
ReplyDeleteAnd Motivational speeches are always welcome.

I'm still on track but I'm afraid I may have N is for Nothing tomorrow. :o

Phew! Took me all morning to get up the oomph, but I think i wrote a really interesting food review today! Check it out! :)
ReplyDeleteRight this way!
I'm visiting and commenting on tons of blogs. I have come across some real gems.
ReplyDeleteI feel like telling my none participating friends to take a break so I can concentrate on some new blogs! LOL Just kidding, but it does get hard to follow everyone and try to find new friends too!
ReplyDeleteMy difficulty lies in the shear time factor and endurance needed to scroll down the list of participants as well as bloggers I follow.
ReplyDeleteMotivation! You are so right. Creating a painting a day requires more motivation and determination than I expected. However, each new achievement has given me lots of excitement.
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping make this blog challenge a fun event!

This is my first A to Z and I'm loving it! Love the interesting "neighbors" and even following some. The more posts I write the more ideas I get to strengthen this one and to do next time. Up to now I've been a solitary blogger so the interaction is great.
ReplyDeleteThank you and the other "managers" for making this possible.

I'm still excited! So many great blogs out there and so little time.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying this go 'round a lot!

I'm hanging in there but it's getting tougher.
ReplyDeleteIt's the midway mark!
ReplyDeleteHang in there people!

I have to admit it has been tougher than I thought it would be, but it has also been fun. It's nice to see all these great blogs out there, and the challenge has really pushed me. Looking forward to reaching the finish line of my first year in the A-Z.

Hi guys! Good to hear most of you are still going strong. Just two more weeks to go.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little unmotivated today, but I can blame the day job. Wasn't supposed to work today and put a kink in my plans. Tomorrow will be better though (even though I have to work again. lol)
ReplyDeleteI'm motivated but I may have to play catch up tomorrow. The bombing in Boston, in my old college stomping grounds, has me heart broken. Am trying to get thru my list to take my mind off it though....
ReplyDeleteI think I am about to lose motivation.
ReplyDeleteSonia Lal
I'm digging deep! Weary yes, but I'm keeping calm, and carrying on...
ReplyDeleteI'm motivated, and I have many walking alongside me too.
Great M post...I need some of that!
ReplyDeleteHappy Half Way!
My motivation is the desire to complete a project. This has been an excellent challenge for me!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm way motivated, and your post helps even more. I'm loving this new world of blogging!

ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for the motivation. Have been unwell and missed some letters. But I am catching up as fast I can.
ReplyDeleteThis has been very challenging... glad to see we're getting "over the hump...!"

Last week I was immersed in staff meetings, but managed to keep posting and commenting, so motivation isn't a problem so far. I'm enjoying connecting with bloggers I haven't met before, and the theme I chose is keeping me amused.
ReplyDeleteAsk me again at the end of the week, and I may have a different answer...

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I needed a reminder of my reasons for joining this morning, so your article was read at the appropriate time.
Ciao,
Pat Garcia
I've certainly had my moments, but I think I'm past the giving up point!
ReplyDeleteI joined this challenge to prove to myself that I could blog consistently, and I've learnt a lot about how to achieve that. It's been a great month.

It's been a great month and an arduous one for me. Poor Row80 had to take a back seat, as it's Parkinson's Disease Awareness month. Tomorrow is my day to blog for them, and the letter "P" so we can all guess what I will write about. Today, I wrote about Opera. It is actually a repost with added content. I spent 12 years in Opera Tampa and miss it. I hope you enjoy; it's a bit long, but I'll make it up to you all!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, true motivation have to come from within us. Thanks for sharing.
