ABOUT ME
Name: Elizabeth Mueller
Blog: Author Elizabeth Mueller
Other Online Info (Twitter, Facebook, Website):
1. What is the most daring thing you've
ever done?
I would have to say stepping out of my comfort zone and getting my book published. Everything I do as an author is daring, from public appearances to making myself known to presentations! Not for the weak at heart, that's for sure.
2. What is your favorite article of clothing? I don't have just one favorite article of clothing--but I do love wearing black to the excess!
3. What is your favorite monster? Mike from Monsters Inc.!
4. If you had to dress up as your favorite literary character, who would it be? J.R.R. Tolkien's Lady Galadriel
5. What is your favorite fairy tale, urban legend or nursery rhyme? Hmmm...
6. What is a cause near and dear to your heart? Anything to protect God, children and family.
7. What's the strangest item you've used as a bookmark? Chewing gum wrapper
8. Do you have any nicknames? What are they and how did you earn them? Liz--it's easier for friends to call me that compared to my entire name.
9. Name one habit you want to change in yourself: Letting myself put my writing career over my family--it can be a struggle especially with a small publisher. I am the only one truly interested in my book, who else can push it better than I can?
10. Tell us something interesting or shocking about yourself: I am scared of public speaking and I don't know how to ride a bike. I illustrated Darkspell, my YA Paranormal Romance Novel (using my children as the models). Check out the pictures here.

SOME A-to-Z QUESTIONS
1. What was your favorite A-to-Z post from 2011? I really don't have one, they were all created equal.
2. What brought you to the A-to-Z originally? My guilt for turning Lee down the first time back in 2009. Tell us about your first A-to-Z: My first A-to-Z happened int 2011. It felt like an onerous task at the start, but once I scheduled my entire alphabet post in advance, I enjoyed the funnest part: visiting and making new friends!
3. Are you doing a theme? Yes! A tour of my state--Welcome to Utah!
4. Are you writing & scheduling posts in advance? That's the only way to go if you don't want to feel overwhelmed--unless you're a guru.
5. What is your favorite letter of the alphabet, and why? What letter do you like least? I don't have one right now, but when I was a little girl, it was E because it starts with my first name!
Tell me something fun and interesting about you!

I've already spilled my bowl of beans on Saturday. Great to know more about other bloggers so thanks for sharing with us. A balance between career and family can be tricky, but usually I think they understand. I like the name Elizabeth too--it's my middle daughter's middle name.

You would look so awesome as Lady Galadriel!
Fun answers - thanks for sharing them!
I'm so glad we're doing these! You do look like you'd be the perfect "lady" in any period production. You're gorgeous dahlin'!

Great to get to know a bit about you - I'm with Alex - maybe we should get you a Galadriel outfit!

I can identify with no.10 - I'm terrified of public speaking & don't know how to ride a bike.
Thanks for sharing these fun facts.
Countdown continues... 40 days to go...
(P.S. I'm still going to write a fun A-Z post for my blog... just having some technical hassles the past few days which I need to sort out...)
You don't seem shy on your blog so I'm surprised about the public speaking fear.
I never thought about doing a theme. That's a great idea!
Utah seems like a nice and quiet place to live. I don't know much about it though, so it will be nice to find out more tidbits on that state! April is shaping up to be a very fun month.
It's hard to imagine someone turning down a chance to participate in A to Z during it's early days....I'm so glad that you joined in for the 2011 one and will be continuing in all of the fun and glory that is blogging everyday in April!
Wearing black is where it's at. I wore lots of black in grade school and like you, I don't know how to ride a bike either. I may learn one day, just in case I'll have to teach my kids how to ride one, if I ever have children, lol.
Thanks for sharing some extra info about yourself! Publishing may be a double positive for you, since it encourages you to conquer public speaking. You may find that you get more comfortable with public speaking after a while, as you travel to talk to people about your Novel. It's sorta like an extra bonus, I suppose :)
The Madlab Post
Great post! I'm excited to hear more about Utah
Lee, gotta love the name Elizabeth! ;)
Alex, thank you! :)
Melissa, you're welcome.
Tina, aw! Thank you. ;)
Laura, that would be so cool!
Mish, I'm excited to see what you're going to post about for the A-Z!
Susan, I've actually done a panel and reading a few weekends ago--along with a few book signings--and I did well! Yay! I just need to find my confidence in something that I haven't done! :O
Emily--oh, it's funtastic! ;)
Nicole, I'm too embarrassed to teach myself to ride a bike. Funny thing to see an adult falling off a bike! I am so proud of my kids, they know how to ride bikes. Yay! Thanks for the public-speaking encouragement. <3
Heather, it's fun! There are cool things that I'm learning about it too as I stage my posts. :D

Its always great to get to know my fellow bloggers and blogettes better. Thanks for posting. This was a lot of fun!
I love AtoZ#5, because both my kids are at an age where they adore the first letter of their name and feel it is special. It's fun.
Also fun is that I'm doing A-to-Z info on Colorado! It will just be little snippets in each post combined with something else. I'll enjoy learning about my neighbor to the west.

You're an amazing artist! It was nice to get to know you better!
Hi Elizabeth - looks like I'm late to your party! But I did dress up in my best gown (after my fav character, Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice) - so I hope that counts.
Great post, interesting and insightful!
Mine is on Feb 27th...hope to see you at my party!
