Build It and They Will Come?

The A to Z Blog site has been up for two weeks now and the Challenge fans have been coming around to join up.  Remember that this site is not like your typical blog.  It is a news and information site for anything related to the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge.   These first few posts have been basically kick-off posts for the upcoming blog challenge in April.  I've been recruiting the true believers to show support and now it's up to you to pass the word along that this blog is here.

Thank you to Laura Eno at Daily Dodo for her announcement of this Challenge Blog.  To the rest of you, please follow Laura's lead and announce the link to this site to your readers so we can all start getting on board.  In 2012 we're gonna need a bigger boat so now's the time to start assembling a passenger list.

Stay tuned!  In the weeks to come we'll be giving you a new sidebar badge to put up on your sites and announcing other new developments.  Don't miss it.

Done!!! Announced it today. If my readers don't hit the links to this blog ... it is because they are blind!

The follower widget isn't showing up for me no matter how many times I refresh the page. I'll bookmark it and maybe it will be more friendly if I come back later. Great idea, by the way.

Knitter and Delores -- A gigantic thank you!!

Sarah -- I don't know what's happening with the "Follower" buttons on Blogger blogs but I've been seeing where this problem is happening on other blogs as well. Thanks to one of those other bloggers I learned that if you hit the F5 key it should refresh. Sometimes I'll have to do it up to three times, but so far never more than that. I hope they remedy this problem. Thanks for staying with it though.

top left in the tool bar has a follow button that will allow you to click on and follow...the f5 button also worked for me to let me see all your beautiful followers so far.

Alexandra -- Sign ups will take place during February and March. You should probably know more by then. As long as you have internet access during April you can join in. Hope we'll see you!

Natz -- I thank you and Li.

Delores -- I've noticed that sometimes when I've clicked the follow tab in the toolbar I don't show up in the list of followers when I manage to bring that box up. Then when I click the follower button I do. Who knows what happens with this stuff on Blogger, but if all else fails your suggestion is worth a shot since sometimes it works. Maybe it always works and I don't see it right away.

I like the title Friends of the Alphabet.
Great that you've separated this blog off from your main ones.
Will let you know when I do an A-Z post.
Cheers

So, I plan my blog out months and months in advance on an excel sheet (because I'm a nerd like that)and I went to block off April and discovered something- April does not work out number/letter wise this year as it did last year. If we post every day but sundays we're going to be 1 letter short. It's because the month starts on a sunday, I think.

Am I the first to notice this and if not, are there any plans for how it'll work this year?

I'm glad to see this! I couldn't participate last year, but hope to this time around...

Excellent idea to give it its own site. (I heard about it from Alex J., btw) I've already got my A to Z theme picked out. :)

Sorry, I was on my trip when these comments came in and now trying to catch up. Thank you all for your words.
Sommer, I am aware of the discrepancy in the days and thought the best thing to do would be to start off on Sunday April 1 and then no Sundays after that. I think that makes the best sense. Wouldn't want to miss April Fool's Day.
